At only 33-pounds, this boat fits easily into the included backpack-style storage bag for effortless transportation and storage. Optimized for hull speed and paddling efficiency, the Chelan 140 is perfect for tandem outings, larger solo paddlers, or carrying extra gear.

Absolutely fantastic! After an awful lot of research into inflatable kayaks and having read so many great reviews about the Chelan kayaks, we decided to bite the bullet. Can’t fault it and the kayak was delivered to us in NSW in 3 days! It’s very versatile, comfortable and tracks really well. The mounts will come in handy for some fishing attachments. We got out on the water for the first time this weekend at Dalmeny, NSW. Drove down to the water and partially inflated the Chelan 140 with 12v from the car. We then finished with the pump. Setup was quick and easy and we were in the water in no time at all. Really enjoyed our first day spent kayaking in the river and lake. Big thanks to the staff at River to Ocean who got our order sorted.

We purchased this in September on back order. I had done a lot of research and wanted something versatile that converted single to tandem easily, as well as being used on various waterways. Ocean, lakes, rivers and small rapids. We have taken this kayak on all of them. Performed super well, glides easily as long as the rudder/keel was in place. Super easy to covert with Velcro seats in/out. Blow up inflatable seats are super comfy and supportive but make the kayak a little heavier adding 5kg when carrying. As stable as our rigid hard-shell kayak and relatively tough. Carried on roof of car short distances as well as inflate/deflate after use. I am medium strong person but I can't lift on/off roof as too heavy (husband can) but can inflate/deflate it for transport. If looking for a quality, versatile kayak. this is it!

I’m a little late writing this review after our purchase but just wanted to say how happy we are with our Chelan kayak. It’s been a fantastic activity for the family and the kids have really enjoyed being on the water.
The Chelan itself was a perfect choice for us and fits myself and the 2 children. It’s very stable which is reassuring when taking little ones out. My husband goes out on his own to do some fishing and the seat can be positioned more towards the middle when alone.
It’s very robust and can’t see that it would puncture which was a concern when I started my research on inflatables. Pumping up only takes a few minutes and I can carry it in the backpack pretty easily and I’m not a large person.
Just purchased a Paddleboard from you so look forward to more fun very soon! Cheers!

Chelan Kayak
After selling our non inflatable kayak we were looking for something just as stable but foldable. We had been recommended the Chelan by a friend for it's stability and hard floor. It's exactly what we were looking for and couldn't be happier with it...and for the customer service we received from River to Ocean. They answered all of our questions and had it delivered to QLD in 3 days! Fantastic! The kayak is super stable even if you stand in it. I dropped a line in last week so the rod holders in the seats came in handy. Looking at ordering the fishing bag. We're also happy with the Vario paddles we selected...the 4 piece breaks down nice and small.
